Ukunda is a small village near the touristy Diani Beach (approx. 30 miles south of the harbor Mombasa). In the village and surrounding area are several elementary and highschools. Most of these schools need very badly extra funds for school equipment and school building renovations. These funds are highly needed to bring the academic standards to a higher level.
